SAMMON and HEYDON call for increased safety measure at Perrystreet Crossroads Ballymore Eustace

Fine Gael TD for Kildare South and Chairman of the Parliamentary Party, Martin Heydon, and Local Election Candidate for the Naas Municipal District, Evie Sammon, met with local residents of Perrystreet Crossroads in Ballymore Eustace on Saturday after residents raised concerns with them due to serval crashes at the crossroads recently.

Evie Sammon said “We had a constructive meeting with residents of Perrystreet Crossroads in Ballymore Eustace. Deputy Heydon and I are in touch with Kildare County Council and local Gardaí about making these crossroads safer.

“As a local resident myself, I understand and have taken on board all the view expressed to us by residents and will be feeding it back to the area engineer in Kildare County Council.

“I understand Gardaí have met with the Council to discuss the recent accident at the crossroads and Cllr Billy Hillis has a motion before the next meeting of the Naas area committee of KCC to keep the pressure on for safety measures to be implemented at these crossroads.

“I want to thank everyone who came out to the crossroads Saturday and to those who have gotten in touch with me on this issue.”

Deputy Heydon concluded “Evie and I have heard the concerns of local residents, viewed it for ourselves and we will continue to work to make Perrystreet Crossroads safer for all who use it.”
